This unique graduate school attracts outstanding students on four campuses in Canada; the U.K. and the U.S.A., and over 30 strategic off-site locations in New Jersey, with the goal of preparing you for substantial advancement in your public or non-profit career or to launch a new career in public service.
The School is a leader in reaching the working professional with part-time cohorts during evening and weekend hours, using in-person, online, and blended formats.
Leaders of change. With 5 graduate programs focused on the public and non-profit sectors, our students are headed for leadership that will drive change from the core. They hold careers in the government, public policy, healthcare, education, diplomacy, security and emergency services, global transportation, non-governmental organizations, non-profit organizations – and so many others under the wide-reaching umbrella of the public and non-profit sectors.
The Working Professional. Our students may be the professionals you are looking to connect with in the field. A majority of our students work part or full time, bringing diverse backgrounds and expertise to the classroom for an exciting team-oriented exchange.

Our students join us in person or by Zoom from around the world – Afghanistan, China, Colombia, Congo, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Georgia, Ghana, India, Iraq, Lebanon, Nigeria, Timor Leste, Ukraine, Uganda, and more. And they tie in from our international campuses in the USA, Canada and the United Kingdom for an FDU transatlantic exchange.
Security and First Responders. Our students are committed to keeping you and your loved ones safe. They come from the military and police, to emergency responders and homeland security. SPGA is proud to support our veterans and first responders.
Rising Diplomats. FDU draws on its 70-year history with the United Nations to welcome the diplomatic corps as our esteemed students. They work in diplomacy and international relations at embassies, consulates, Missions to the United Nations, global ministries, international NGO’s, and homeland security.

As a student in SPGA, you create a customized degree that will allow you to take on leadership roles within your chosen profession by giving you the flexibility to choose classes that will hone your skills in everything from economics to political science, and policy analysis to public management. With more than 185 courses to choose from, the possibilities are limitless!

As part of our commitment to making education accessible, we offer our students affordable tuition. In addition, numerous financial aid options are available to help you pay for college, including scholarships, government grants and loans. GI Bill and Yellow Ribbon Program benefits are also available for eligible military veterans.
Earn your master’s degree online or take in-person courses in the evenings and on weekends at any of FDU’s more than 30 off-campus sites. In addition, you can take courses in any sequence and start the program during any our four terms. Our flexible structure means you can earn your master’s in less than two years.
