Illustration Instructor, Graphic Design Department
Academic Profile
I am an illustrator and college instructor living in New Jersey. Working as an editorial illustrator has allowed me to bring stories to life and entice readers to engage with content. I have had the opportunity to create beautiful and attention-getting images, but also to help impart information and express complex ideas.
I’ve loved art since I was a kid and spent my whole childhood drawing and painting on anything I could get my hands on. I especially loved comics and superheroes. I put together my first portfolio at the age of five. I copied and traced Marvel superheroes with meatballs for hands (since I couldn’t draw fingers). Growing up, I chose a job in which I could play with illustration, painting, drawing, conceptual thinking, and storytelling as well as teaching, instructing, and mentoring student who love the same things I do. For over 20 years I have been teaching in New Jersey and I love spending my time sharing what I know with students who want to follow a similar path.
