Academic Profile

I am a strong believer in the philosophy that connecting the real world to the subject matter enhances the student learning experience. This type of teaching ensures that students do not learn from the book in a detached manner but are able to visualize their learning in action. It helps students become the problem solvers of the next generation.

To truly imbibe the ethos of this philosophy, I ensure that each topic instructed in my class is followed by an activity or project that allows students to demonstrate their understanding of the topic and its implications in a tangible way. Additionally, I strongly emphasize group discussions and the collective learning of students as a society not just at the individual level. I believe this fosters a learning environment that goes beyond the boundaries of classrooms and is reflective of the working style in the real world.

My research interests lie in the fields of cloud security, cloud computing, cybersecurity, soft computing tools, and image processing specifically in the realm of application of Computer Engineering. I have earned my Bachelor of Engineering, Master of Technology, and Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering. I have extensive teaching experience in post-secondary education. My industry and academic experiences make my teaching relevant and engaging. I have published many international journals, conference papers, and book chapters in Scopus-indexed and Sci-indexed publications. I truly believe in interdisciplinary research.
