We are in the midst of a truly exciting time within our School. The significant growth in our health science programs now allows for expanding student learning and social spaces and welcoming all health sciences students into our caring and committed community. Each profession has its own unique identity; having all professions housed within the School creates a variety of interprofessional opportunities as our students learn, train and develop together into health professionals prepared for the rapidly changing world of healthcare.
We are extremely proud of our graduate Master’s and Doctorate programs in health sciences. Currently, we offer three in-person and two on-line programs. Our faculty and staff focus on helping transform neighboring communities by preparing our students to be empathetic and resilient health care providers.
Our innovative Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program continues to produce a diverse group of graduates who are leading the way into the future of pharmacy. Our alumni work in community, hospital, ambulatory care and industry settings, to name a few. (See our new video What Can You Do with a PharmD Degree for some examples.) Many are leaders in community care and pharmaceutical industry in New Jersey and beyond.
Our Master’s program in physician assistant studies (MSPA) offers a comprehensive curriculum to prepare compassionate health care providers that are also well-versed in working on interprofessional teams.
Doctor in Occupational Therapy (OTD) program is designed to develop competent, well-rounded and diverse occupational therapy practitioners prepared to lead sustainable development occupational therapy practices in innovative ways.
The Master of Public Health (MPH) online program educates leaders ready to take on the challenges surrounding public health. The program is widely sought-after as a primary degree or as an additional advanced credential given heightened need and awareness about importance of public health professionals in managing community health and wellness during the recent pandemic.
The Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) provides an online curriculum for the advanced generalist program and is designed to produce future social work professionals competent in serving a diverse group of individuals and problems in a multitude of settings and geographical locations. A major focus in this program is to ready students for practice that enhances the overall well-being and quality of life of clients that they serve.
We pride ourselves on having built a welcoming community that focuses on student success, and provides a distinctive student-centered experience that aligns with students’ lives and goals, builds a close-knit collaboration of scholars, elevates students’ prospects, creates diverse career opportunities, and responds to the unique talents and interests of our population.
