Iris Gersh has 20 years of Hospitality experience including quality assurance, property operations, multi-property operations, asset management, and consulting.
Professor Gersh has 11 years of diverse experience with the Marriott Corporation including property operations, training on brand standards, development of the Marriott Quality Assurance Assessment Tool and she was regional trainer for chain and franchise affiliated Marriott hotels.
She spent 6 years assisting owners and operators with market studies, operational evaluations & financial and reporting analysis. As a hospitality consultant with Coopers and Lyrand she performed economic valuations and FIRREA appraisals for limited and full-service hotels and restaurants.
She was also involved with a planning team for the development of a total quality management tool to assess property adherence to brand standards and customer-defined quality satisfaction for an estimated 2000 Marriott Hotels.
Professor Gersh has received Marriott Quality Assurance Certification, National Food Protection Certification, and Fire Safety Director Certification. She received several awards from the Marriott Corporation making Manager of the Quarter, Region of the Year, and 4-time winner of the Bill Tiefell Award for exemplary customer service.
