10:00 AM – 3:00 PM: New Student Move-in and Orientation NYC outings sign-up. Students choose between the New York Aquarium, the Bronx Zoo or the American Museum of Natural History. Students must attend all Continuing Orientation sessions. Location – Student Center.

5:00 PM – 5:45 PM: Housing & Residence Life floor meetings. Location – Your residence hall.

5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Family & Guest Reception. Location – Italian Gardens, Outside of Hennessy Hall (The Mansion).

5:45 PM: Pre Illumination Ceremony line-up. Location – Outside of Student Center.

6:00 PM: Illumination Ceremony. Location – Italian Gardens, Outside of Hennessy Hall (The Mansion).

8:00 PM – 10:00 PM: Ian’s Luau. Mechanical surfboard, DJ and free food. Location – Library Lawn.

9:00 AM -10:30 AM: UNIV 1001 – Preparing for Your First Week of Classes. This is your first class at FDU!  We welcome you to this community dedicated to the pursuit of intellectual and personal growth.  The integrity of the FDU community depends upon each member’s acceptance of individual responsibility and respect for the rights of others in and outside of the classroom.  Learn about valuable resources and ways you can find academic success. Location – Dreyfuss Theater, Dreyfuss Building.

10:45 AM – 12:00 PM: Take the Risky Out of Frisky with Transforming College Campuses (TCC). FDU’s LiveWell Warriors and peer health educators will share their 10 tips to partying safely, facts about alcohol and sexual assault on college campuses, consent, what you should know, and what you can do to make safe and responsible choices if you choose to consume alcohol and/or party.  The goal of this session is to help you make informed decision that will help you live a healthy and balanced life at FDU. Location – Various Rooms, Hennessy Hall (The Mansion). 

11:30 AM – 1:30 PM: Lunch. Location – The Dish, Student Center.

1:00 PM – 2:15 PM: Honors meet and greet. Career Development and Enrollment Services. Location – Lenfell Hall, Hennessy Hall (The Mansion).

2:30 PM: Rubber duck hunt. Location – Student Center.

4:00PM – 4:45 PM: Hey Alexa, how does college work? Presented by Nick Fuentes. Location – Lenfell Hall, Hennessy Hall (The Mansion).

5:00 PM –  9:00 PM: Storm the Dorm. IKEA Trip. Event includes DJ and karaoke, dorm design demonstration, VIP exclusive savings and shopping event, silent disco dance party, Devils and Knights challenges with prizes and giveaways, tarot card readings and a storewide scavenger hunt. Shuttle departs from Student Center. Registration required, sign up here.
