FDU: When did you realize that you wanted to be a professor, and why?

Hossein Hakimpour: During my early years as a graduate student, I discovered my passion for becoming a professor. I was captivated by the joy of research and intellectual curiosity, which naturally led me to academia. I thrive on engaging in discussions, fostering critical thinking, and contributing to students’ knowledge and growth. As a professor, I can merge my love for teaching and research while guiding others on their educational paths.

FDU: What is your favorite childhood memory?

HH: One of my favorite childhood memories is visiting my grandfather’s orchard (Mirali) in the countryside. I spent many summers there, surrounded by nature, enjoying the fresh air, and helping with the fruit harvest. The simplicity and beauty of those moments taught me the value of hard work, patience, and community.

FDU: What brought you to FDU?

HH: FDU’s reputation for fostering a global learning environment and its commitment to academic excellence attracted me. I was particularly drawn to its diverse community, where I can contribute my expertise and collaborate with colleagues and students from all over the world. It’s an exciting opportunity to engage with a dynamic academic environment while bringing my experiences in marketing and strategic management to the table.
