OWL: MLA Formatting and Style Guide

MLA (Modern Language Association) style is commonly used to write papers in the liberal arts and humanities. This guide, from The Online Writing Lab (OWL) at Purdue University, has been updated to reflect the MLA Handbook (8th ed.). APA (American Psychological Association) style is commonly used to write papers in the social sciences. . This guide, from The Online Writing Lab (OWL) at Purdue University, has been updated to the 6th edition of the APA manual. Here you will find examples for the format of APA research papers, in-text citations, endnotes/footnotes, and the reference page.
