Welcome to FDU, first-year and transfer students!  We look forward to you joining us for an in-person orientation on the Metropolitan Campus.

Registration for the January 16th session has closed, but if you would still like to attend, please email metroorientation@fdu.edu.

What to expect

January Orientation welcomes mid-year new and transfer students to FDU. This one-day orientation will allow you to experience what it means to be a Metropolitan Campus student, both in and out of the classroom. Students will meet with an academic advisor and register for their spring semester classes (if you have not done so already, see below). You will also meet the Orientation Team — current students here to assist you during your orientation and throughout the semester.

Students who will be living on campus should check their FDU emails for more details on how to select your move-in date and time.  Please contact the Housing Office at 201-692-2250 or email metrohousing@fdu.edu with any further housing questions.

How to register for Spring Semester Classes

In order for you to be prepared for the Spring Semester, we strongly recommend you register for classes before the January Orientation. Please contact your advisor to schedule an appointment to register.
