Welcome to FDU, first-year and transfer students! We look forward to you joining us for an in-person orientation on the Metropolitan Campus.

What to expect

January Orientation welcomes mid-year new and transfer students to FDU. This one-day orientation will allow you to experience what it means to be a Metropolitan Campus student, both in and out of the classroom. Students will meet with representatives from departments across campus to help prepare them for a successful transition to Fairleigh Dickinson University. You will also meet the Orientation Team — current students here to assist you during your orientation and throughout the semester. Students who have not already registered for classes please see the information below.

Students who will be living on campus should check their FDU emails for more details on how to select your move-in date and time. Please contact the Housing Office at 201-692-2250 or email metrohousing@fdu.edu with any further housing questions.

How to register for Spring Semester Classes

In order for you to be prepared for the Spring Semester, we strongly recommend you register for classes before the January Orientation. Please contact your advisor to schedule an appointment to register.
