If situation appears dangerous, notify Public Safety (X2222) and leave the building/area immediately. Advise others that you may see to do the same.
If situation is not serious, notify Public Safety (X2222) and Office of the Vice President for Administration (X7050). -
If a suspicious item or package is found, notify Public Safety (X2222). DO NOT TOUCH OR MOVE THE SUSPICOUS ITEM OR PACKAGE. Move as far away as possible and advise others to do the same.
If a telephone threat is received, try to keep the caller on the line as long as possible. Seek maximum information and fill out the Bomb Threat Checklist (attached). Notify Public Safety (X2222) -
If weather and or building situation appear dangerous, notify Public Safety (X2222). Do not leave the building unless there is an immediate danger or advised by Public Safety.

For any report of a Public Health incident, Student Health Services (X2437) will be the primary contact.

For any demonstrations, labor strikes, riots or other panic situations that you may observe, notify Public Safety (X2222). If the situation appears to be dangerous, leave the building/area, advise others to do the same and await arrival of Public Safety.

Public Safety will continuously monitor local radio and television stations for information on the emergency. Decisions and directives might be forthcoming from the University Emergency Management Team.

Anyone observing a violent incident should immediately contact Public Safety (X2222).

Anyone observing an incident requiring the presence of outside public emergency services should immediately contact Public Safety (X2222).

Individuduals that see or smell smoke should immediately notify Public Safety (X2222). Leave the building/area immediately and if possible in the process of leaving the building/area, activate a pull box and advise others to leave.
Under no circumstances should any member of the campus community attempt to extinguish the fire using a fire extinguisher or other means. -
Public Safety either by themselves, or in conjunction with local authorities will supervise and coordinate any evacuation. Emergency evacuation procedures and designated staging areas for evacuations are listed on the following pages.

Notify Public Safety (X2222)

For any spill of a chemical or hazardous material or any release of a chemical or suspicious odor within a building, notify Public Safety (X2222). Leave the building/area and advise others to do the same. Await arrival of Public Safety.

Anyone observing a suspected kidnapping or being made aware of a kidnapping should immediately notify Public Safety (X2222).

In certain cases, United Water will be aware of the problem and make announcements to advise the public.
Anyone being aware of any problem with the water that has not been reported is to notify Public Safety (X2222) and the Office of the Vice President of Administration (X7050). -
Any individual observing, witnessing or being involved in any type of situation that causes an emotional crisis, should notify Public Safety (X2222).

Individuals, who see a partial or full collapse of any building, should immediately notify Public Safety (X2222). Leave the building/area and advise others to do the same. Under no circumstances should any member of the campus community attempt to enter the building/area involved in the emergency.
