Congratulations on achieving Extramural Funding!
The Office of Grants and Sponsored Projects (GSP) provides professional post-award guidance for all government grants, and takes the lead in coordinating and establishing the framework for the fiscal management of extramural funding. GSP works closely with the Principal Investigator/Program Director for compliance with financial requirements and technical reporting, and serves as primary liaison with the Sponsoring Agency’s fiscal representative to conform with regulations, e.g., prior approval for reportable variations in expenditures.
Fiscally sound award stewardship is achievable through a successful alliance across University resources, i.e. GSP, the Financial Division, the principal investigator, and academic department / school administration.
The Finance Division of FDU develops and maintains University policies and practices of accounting, fiscal management, reporting procedures, audit standards and systems that ensure fiscal integrity and stewardship over extramural awards.
