The Global Business Experience at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Silberman College of Business provides you with a unique opportunity to broaden your academic experience, explore international business issues, and gain a better understanding of today’s global marketplace.

Businesses value workers with a global outlook and an understanding of diverse cultures. Offered through FDU’s Silberman College of Business, the Global Business Experience (GBE) provides a unique, multi-country and immersive experience that will give you a competitive edge by transforming the way you think, solve problems and view the world. You’ll earn college credit from the front lines of world commerce!
This exclusive study abroad opportunity is available to all newly admitted students entering FDU in the fall semester in all business majors and is cohort-based. Undeclared business majors also are eligible to participate.
As a GBE student, you will participate in two short-term study abroad experiences in two different countries. An application is required and space is limited.
Monthly events include:
- Guest speakers
- Dinners with FDU alumni
- Visits to the United Nations
- Meetings with foreign diplomats
- Corporate site visits
- Bimonthly sessions that may include academic credit
Life-Changing Experience
Travel to Europe, where you will have the option of studying at one of our partner universities. You will visit the IÉSEG School of Management in Paris at the end of your freshman year. During your junior year, you will travel to Italy or Spain where you will visit global companies and network with executives. Other locations will be considered. Although a semester abroad is not part of the GBE program, students interested in a longer study abroad experience have the option to study at FDU’s Wroxton or Vancouver campuses, or one of our many partner institutions around the world during their sophomore year.
